AAI Speaks on Industry, International, and Competition Advocacy Issues

AAI President Diana Moss recently delivered remarks at two industry conferences on healthcare. Moss spoke on consolidation in the health insurance industry at the Colorado Medical Society annual meeting on October 24 in Denver. She also spoke at the Emory University Center for Ethics program “Prescribing Price: A Conference on the Ethics, Science, and Business of Drug Development” on November 2 in Atlanta. The AAI continues to be involved in the International Competition Network through the Advocacy Workshop. Moss helped open the two-day program in Mexico City on November 3 as moderator of the first plenary panel “Designing and Assessing Effective Advocacy Strategies.” Panelists from the Netherlands and Italian competition authorities and the European Commission discussed advocacy strategy ranging from priorities, to implementation and monitoring.

AAI Founder and Senior Fellow Albert A. Foer spoke in India at a symposium from November 17 to 19 Jaipur, India on “Making North Indian States Competitive: Path to Inclusive and Sustainable Growth.” The symposium  was part of the Evaluation of Competitiveness of North Indian States, a project being implemented by CUTS International and supported by the US Embassy, New Delhi.  Foer is the American expert engaged by CUTS International for the project which will conclude in January, 2017. Other than visiting Jaipur, he also visited Lucknow and Chandigarh on a study tour.
